|Coping with 0.92|

Version 0.92 made all the elements of <item> optional. Some sites use this fact to produce feeds that have a <description>, but no <title> or <link>. This is quite awkward for aggregators that may want to provide a combination of <title> and <link> as a cut down display with a link through to the full description text. The usual approach is to synthesize the title from the first 30 characters (say) of the description. And then to use the channel.link element on all the items. It's not perfect, but it more or less works.
