Still no attempt to legalise private E-scooters. Rental scooters are still legal in Trial areas.

IMHO, E-Scooters should be rolled into the EAPC regulation by simply allowing throttles and not requiring pedals. They'd then be legal anywhere bicycles were legal. But that's too simple and too sensible.

Results of last year's consultation on
1) Allowing throttles as well as pedalec
2) Increasing max continuous power from 250W to 500W.

As an E-Bike rider, I'm disappointed. 500w makes hills easier, especially for cargo bikes. Throttles are just not a problem. We used to allow them.

Respondents overall were 50:50. But the industry was against.
