Nuclear Power shill writes article saying we need Nuclear Power. This caught my eye :- > Nuclear reactors meet these ideals. They’re dispatchable, industry parlance for reliable. That's not what "dispatchable" means. It's not about reliability it's about speed of coming on line and being turned off. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dispatchable_generation Nuclear is one of the slowest forms to be turned up and down. It's strength is as base load not speed of response.

The Water Companies and their sewage treatment plants pollute the rivers with overflow liquids. And they pollute the land with the solids. Which then get washed away into the rivers. Near us, a farmer is taking solids (probably for free from Thames Water). They mix it with lime. And then transport it in huge, foul smelling, muck spreader trailers behind huge tractors along the country road, through the town to the A10.

Is there any way for a private individual to find out the registered keeper of a vehicle in the UK? I'm pretty sure the answer is now unless you have a friend in the police force or an insurance company. If somebody says you were the driver of a vehicle caught for speeding but have no connection to them, what can you do to find out what really happened? Asking for a friend.

Which leads to just one more thing and that's infection prevention and control. We know that there are a huge range of diseases that are airborne. We know that mitigations like air-filters, masks, UVC, ventilation work against all these. The NHS needs to implement them. And the government also needs to implement them in schools and such like. And to encourage them to be built into H&S and employment law. And then there's pro-actively pushing Vax and countering Anti-Vax.

One more anecdote before we go. Online AI diagnosis. I've had to use 111 NHS Online a couple of times in the last few years. In both cases, I went down an online rabbit hole that ended up with the surgery phoning me to say "go to the minor injuries unit, just turn up, don't bother booking". Well, I think I could have worked that out. I try to avoid hospitals as they're full of ill people! Both times I was the only person wearing an N95 Aura mask.

Multiple letters, not all make it into the NHS App. Surgery can't understand where we are with final prescriptions. Only sorted after getting past the receptionist on a Friday evening, sitting with the prescription team and making quite sure they understand what's happened, what the letters say and what we need. And then the pharmacy has no stock and might have it the following week. This is an MMPG update system. I reckon the NHS needs GIT.

One fun example. Long term eye problem.

So where do the community hubs sit in that? Or have we already got them? Anyone who's ever needed a consultant will recognise the next problem. The first time you see the lead consultant. The follow up you see a junior. Their first comment is "now, what seems to be the problem and how long has it been going on". When some, but not all, of your history is right in front of them. As resident nerd, I've done a single A4 sheet summary for my partner. Now we just say "read this"!

Next, these community hubs. There's a hierarchy at the moment

Again, why is it so hard to communicate offline? Like everyone else, moderately educated, I'm completely comfortable with filling in internet forms, communicating with email, whatsapp, txt. Please just let me give you written detail of what I need and report back to me in the same way. In both our own time. Don't use non-reply sources. And don't force me to sit in a phone waiting queue to talk to somebody who can't help.

And so on. Have you tried o find your Covid Vax history in the NHS app lately? Where can I report +ve or -ve Covid tests? How many times a year do I have to fill in the same survey on blood pressure, weight, alcohol, exercise? And why do I only get 4 days to do it? And why if I miss it and go direct to my surgery, I can only fill in the online form in office hours? If I order a new batch of my (15 year ongoing) prescription and they want bloods. Why do I have order it again after the results?

Then we've got Documents. Why aren't all letters and documents in one place? Again there's no notification that a new letter has appeared. If you have had a meeting with a consultant, you have to keep checking in multiple places to see what they said. And it relies on the Surgery to upload their copy, if they received it.
| # · Mastodon | |
When a consultant prescribes a new course, the letter has to be scanned, uploaded and read by the surgery, prescriptions approved, but nobody actually notifies you it's done. Then you have to request them. Then they get passed to your nominated pharmacy. Who doesn't necessarily notify you they're ready. But the consultant doesn't always write it out in detail, so the surgery prescription team have to interpret a para of English, that refers to a previous letter.

Streeting says the NHS App is a key part of his 10 year plan to reform the NHS. So why is the UI of the current app such a mess? Prescriptions. Spread across multiple places.

A reminder. Reform UK Party Ltd is a Long Con, owned & run by a bunch of fascist, racist grifters.
