New Groove Armada on a fav record label.

Which is like going back 25 years. Glad to see Shall Not Fade hasn't completely disappeared. Though there's no sign of the founder, Kieran Williams. I do hope he's OK.

It was gert lush!

Sadly customs wouldn't let the bitters pack through. The cocktail bar staff enjoyed a cherry and a pickle.

Mainly, I survived.

> There’s nothing accidental or inadvertent about what we’re all suffering through together. We’ve had enough time now and have sufficient expertise to understand that this is not a natural calamity. This is something that is being done to us. Knowingly. Which makes it a crime.

My fav festival has a Gay Disco event on Sunday afternoons in the sunshine, by a stage playing non-stop gay-disco bangerz. There were the Crab people, Airline cabin crew, fairies, elves, "Make Weddings Gay Again", Mediaeval knight and damsel, Furries and more Gentleman and Lady Butt than you can shake your wobbly bits at. Hilarious fun.

And then there was a handful of "Ironic Gammon". Rouge Sunburn, Glittery Union Jacks. Sorry guys. Not funny.

Does your UK MP work for you, or is it a long con to get rich from secondary jobs?

https://theyworkforwho.com/

Based on declared outside earnings, not the £5m gift and all the rest.

Bonus. Rupert Lowe of Restore Britain earns as much from x-fka-twitter rage bait as from his MP's salary.

We're into the 26th week of the Israel-US-Iran war. It'll be 6 months on Fri 28-Aug.

I go away for a long lost weekend and on return, the war seems to have dropped out of the news cycle. Stalemate? I'm sure the Strait is still closed, negotiations are still ongoing, Israel atrocities continue in Gaza, West Bank and Lebanon. But is anyone watching?

To be confirmed. But it looks like Sunday 23-Aug-26 hit a new record 60S-60N Sea Surface Temperature (SST) record. Global and Nino SST has been #1 in the records for the day since 1-Jun-26. Right now should be the late summer secondary (lower) peak but it's still going up. The all time record Nino is probably only a couple of weeks away now.

I'm convinced Brits are too full of words that they desperately need to get out. Any excuse for a chinwag.

Every hobby turns into a group get together, meet up and chat. If they're not right next to each other, it's endless phones and whatsapps.

All that extrovert communication is a good proof that we're a tribal herd animal. But as an introvert it's exhausting.

This post brought to you by a chillout cafe, with late night ambient music, full of people shouting and laughing at each other.

Put the card in a windows laptop and it needs chkdsk, scan the disk, which then says no errors. Eject. Put it back in the android phone, still no joy. One suggestion is delete sdcard/android/data but mine's empty.

Numerous reddit and youtube threads about this.

So

1. WTF is going on. Why can't Android mount a perfectly good sdcard, some times.
2. WTF doesn't android have a chkdsk-alike. Reformat is NOT an option on a 3/4 full 1Tb card.

Lazyweb phone problem : It seems I'm not alone in having a large SDCard (exFAT) in my Android phone to hold music files. Also not alone that if you ever reboot the phone Android sometimes, or always, fails to read the SD Card and says "Issue with SD Card tap to fix" and the only option is reformat.

Sometimes but not always, remove the sd card, Full power off, wait 30, restart, reinsert the sd card and it works.
