There's a style of dusty, swampy, house/techno dance music generally known as Lo-Fi. Typically from labels like Lobster Theremin, 1080p, Moodhut, Future Times, Rhythm Section, Nous, White Material.

Now I really love the Lo-Fi aesthetic and all that Knackered House. And it would be really nice to hear it properly loud on a quality (F-One) sound system occasionally. But whenever I go and see one of the names at a night or a festival, they're playing to the crowd with Techno-House-NuDisco bangerz. If they do play some of their own productions, it's often a club mix with a lot more energy. That's great and all, and of course there's always impeccable taste in the selections. But it's not the LoFi tracks they're known for and I was expecting.

Which makes me wonder where the producers think we're supposed to listen to SLF and where they listen to it themselves. There's always headphones and the car but not everyone has a club worthy system in the kitchen or the understanding neighbours to go with it.

So there's the questions,
1) How can I listen to LoFi properly loud on a club sound system?
2) Where and How do the producers listen to it themselves?
3) Where do they expect us to listen to it?
