I thought it was a Google services. As long as your account is activated for Google key it should work across all devices.

It is a Google service, not Android. You should be able to access it from any device that can access YouTube.

I'm not quite sure what extra I should see over and above the normal Youtube. No Ads is obviously nice, but what else should I be seeing?

Um. Feeling stupid here. If I start with Music Play and go to a track that I know has a video on Youtube, I can't see any obvious link to get to it.

That's alright. VIdeos matched to the song are usually linked at the very bottom of the page. Also, they are still working on matching all these songs so some that you know have a song may not be matched to one yet. Remember its still technically in beta.
