800 channels and nothing showing MotoGP, WSB, BSB, AMA, live. That's not the future we signed up to. Minority sports should be ideal for narrowcasting, but apparently not. Meanwhile, internet streaming is curiously broken as well, It's kind of available, at a price, as long as you live in the right jurisdiction.
We'll wait and see and maybe it will be alright, but we're not entirely happy about BTSport outbidding Eurosport and BBC for MotoGP because it's more expensive and harder to obtain. At least BSB and WSB are still live on Eurosport and that's still fairly cheap to get.
Can you get BSB in the USA? Perhaps via Velocity/Discovery. Because I'm fairly sure you can't stream Eurosport (without a VPN to Europe, and a European credit card).

Correct. No BSB in the States that I know of. I cancelled my Comcast cable an bought MotoGP.com - sprung for the big package this year. Also, I see WSB now has a vid package, but no way will I spend the dollars for both. If MotoGP does drop prices next year I'm out.

Even if our [U.S.] cable providers yield MotoGP it uses absolutely horrible belittling commentary: "Yes Steve, that is right! Unlike car racing, motorcycles have to do it all on only TWO wheels. Absolutely amazing."
I think you're complaining about SpeedTV[1], rather than the system as a whole. But maybe niche sport broadcasting is impossible in the USA without it being as bad as that.
I spent a summer in the USA around 1999. I well remember the horror of trying to watch MotoGP. Tape delayed. 8 advert breaks in a 45 minute race. Terrible commentary. It doesn't have to be like that. So can you work round it via streaming?
You are correct - Speed, but back in Speed TV days I recall they used the sanctioned fed commentary, not their own. When it became the NASCAR Channel, Oh wait, I mean "Speed Channel", then things got worse. For streaming I'm using MotoGP.com. I will be trying out some VPN solutions to see what other content I can get, but I will not try any of the pirated content.
