At what point does enlightened self-interest lead to society introducing pollution limiting controls that deal with the worst excesses of unfettered capitalism. And will China get there before nature does it for them?
Eastern Canada and US did a reasonable job dealing with acid rain only to have Alberta ramp up production of it. And Saskatchewan (my home) is scrambling to get in on the act, even though the acid rain is already causing problems in Saskatchewan.
Let's face it, we're screwed.
