There isn't much of it about.

Lots of steampunk. Lots of "new" space opera (it was new in 1988; today, not so much). Some cyberpunk. Lots of urban fantasy/paranormal romance. Some milSF/carnography.

But actual extrapolative visions of the near to medium term future based on existing trends and not reliant on woo (cheap space drives, Mr Fusion machines, libertarianism)? Not so thick on the ground that you can't comfortably read every book in that niche as it comes out.

SF in this century is ridiculously conservative.
