This month a magistrates court approved his extradition to the US for running a website posting links to pirated TV shows and films, despite significant doubts over whether such sites break any UK laws. O'Dwyer has never visited the US and his website used servers based in other countries.

So, he's not facing criminal charges in the UK. It's doubtful if he's broken UK or EU law. He wasn't using servers in the USA. He wasn't hosting copyrighted or pirated material. But the USA is still arguing for extradition and an ally is playing along. uh-huh.
