That's how it works, for the time being. The +1 tab only shows external sites, not g+ posts or comments.

They appear in a tab on your profile page called +1's.

Click your photo on the top right hand screen and it takes you to your profile page & select the tab called +1's. It's simple & easy!!

+1's will only appear on the desktop version at the moment. Hopefully Google will add it to the mobile versions.

There is no iPhone app so using Google+ through the phone's browser and there is no choice to view +1's.
