Heard a great mix at the Glastonbury Glade bar on Sunday night which I'm probably never going to find again. It starts with a vocal mix of the classic late-90s house anthem, Lucid's "I can't help myself". But on the drop instead of going into classic house, it explodes into massive Dubstep sub-bass and gets more and more dirty until the vocal is reduced to just a-rhythmic stabs. There are tons of mixes of that track and even some properly grimy dubstep ones. But this one was just perfectly and ironicly post-modern while still being a banging tune. You had to be there! Any ideas on how to find it? No, I guess not.
I really like Deep House but the nuggetz are hard to find. Most everything to do with House turned to cheese way back when.
