Welcome to Void.Bot

Void.Bot is a proof of concept of a Skype bot that sits in Skype Group chats and does useful stuff.

Usage

Just add Void.Bot into a chat. It will then respond to commands, generally beginning with #. The simplest command is #help. Here's an overview.

• #help
  Returns this information.
• #google search terms
  Does a google search for the search terms and returns the top 3 results with links.
• #karma phrase
  Karma is a reputation store for words and phrases. This commands returns the current karma score for the phrase entered.
• #karma
  Returns the phrases with the top 5 karma scores
• phrase++
  Adds 1 karma point to a word or phrase. Note there is no space between the word and the ++
• phrase--
  Subtracts 1 karma point from a word or phrase
• URL
  Type a URL anywhere in a message, If it is more than 80 characters long it's converted to a tinyurl
• URL
  Type a URL anywhere in a message and the message will be posted to http://twitter.com/voidbot
• '!'
  Type ! anywhere in a message and Void.Bot will some times cheer from the sidelines!
• #motd
  Returns a message of the day taken from a file of 400 product warning messages
• Add new members or in V3 public chats when they join
  And Void.Bot welcomes them.
• 'ping'
  Send 'ping' and Void.Bot returns 'pong'. You can use this to check if Void.Bot is running.

- Requires PHP5 with the SOAP extension and PEAR services_google
- Requires Skype4com and a running Skype instance
- Rename .php.txt files to .php
- Modify conf.inc.php for your mysql server.
- Load the .SQL file.
