Mozilla Firebird 0.6 (Glendale) Release Notes and FAQ

I've been waiting and waiting for a Firebird (nee Phoenix) release that I could recommend to relatively non-technical users. The problem was that V5 had some bugs that I considered to be show stoppers. The nightly builds fixed these quite early on but using nightly builds is not for the faint of heart.

So here it is. No matter what browser you currently use, you owe it to yourself to download and install it. It's fast, lean and mean. It's more standards compliant than any other browser on the market. But best of all it's got popup killing built in and there's a very effective extension to block adverts from the common advert services. IMHO that alone justifies playing with it.

Go ahead and try it out. You don't have to use the browser that came free with your operating system. [from: JB Ecademy]
