Hard to tell with just an eyeball but it looks like July 2025 is going to be 3rd in the records for daily average air and sea temperature. And with the 3rd highest max air temperature some time around 14 July.

As always, official confirmation around the 7th

If renewables like solar and windpower are the fastest, cheapest form of electricity generation. And we're deploying them faster than ever, in greater quantity. Then why are electricity bills in the UK still so high?

Could it be because of the inequalities and contradictions in the contracts and subsidies around the artificial, privatised energy markets? Perhaps Labour should fix those instead of creating yet another energy investment vehicle like GB Energy?

A top letter proposing that the Greens and YourParty should have a pact not to compete. This should be wider and include the other progressive parties, LibDem, Plaid Cymru and so on. * As long as they are all Pro-EU *.

And that's the problem with YourParty right now. We have no idea what they actually want, apart from "Not Labour, Not Right Wing".

Gin, Bitter thing, Vermouth. But struggling to understand how it's a Negroni. Negroni family but different enough to justify it's own name.

If you haven't read Random Acts of Senseless Violence - Jack Womack, just do it. It's a warning not a manual. And one of the all time greats of dystopian SciFi. A fav of the great dismal.

- White Negroni #2

50ml Gin, 25ml Cocchi Americano, 25ml Suze, Lemon twist.

#1 is equal quantities 25 *3 as on the back of the Suze bottle.

I wasn't expecting a poisonous yellow drink that tastes like poison! Suze is a new addition to the back bar today. I served it up instead of on the rocks which i think suits.

A new bottle opens up another 6 recipes to tick off on my stamp collection.
