Gah! Windows 10 weirdness. Everything has been fine for years. Some time last night the PC put itself into a mode where roughly 5 minutes after booting it would freeze. Only way out was a hard power off and reboot. Only happened in normal boot, not safe mode.

After much messing around getting into a state where I could restore a backup I found a post saying "disable secure boot". Fingers crossed, it seems to have done the trick.

But why?

So, farewell then, Oak tree in the Woods. Looks like the drought, stress and today's East wind got to you. So little root.

150 years? It was a life well lived.

Something happened in Salisbury in 2018. But the official Novichok story made no sense and got more unbelievable as time went on and more and more nonsense ws added. We had a Drama-Doc of propaganda and now we've got a C4 Doc. I don't hold out much hope of anything more believable coming out this time around.
