If you're a Dual National and hold two passports. And you then go and fight for the second nation. You should lose citizenship, in the first, right?

So UK citizens that also hold an Israel passport and then fight for the IDF, should lose their British Passport, right?

Here we are now. Entertain us.

If you want a picture of the future, imagine [the sound of] a boot stamping on a human face— forever.

> affordable spaces of convivial exchange

Many new artistic works and especially music have been driven by social support that keeps you alive. Decayed spaces that are temporarily free and can be exploited. Fast / cheap / free word of mouth promotion and self-organisation. And boredom. We've got most of those in place again. But it's not happening. Is simple survival too hard, so there's no boredom space to work with?

Where is the punk-youth revolution of today? Especially in China.

I remember the birth of industrial noise music and heavy metal. It was very much based on steam powered, heavy engineering factories. I've long wondered what the music would be for modern industrial environments when the biggest noise is the random whir of small electric motors spinning up and down in all the robots.

So what is the sound and music of collapse? What is the sound and music of modern drone warfare?

As one wag put it, "Very LOUD. And then very silent".

I still feel now like we haven't yet fully explored the 5-dimensional space of The Groove, The One, Complexity, Randomness and Bass Weight. Even if AI can generate vast quantities of "Over-Compressed Techno track #23".

And yet. The drug-addled religion of the Techno-House Saturday All-Nighter is nearly 40 years old. It was the late 80s when MDMA changed music forever. Can we really not find something new to say beyond "take a little pill with me"?

This prompted a rant.

Both Kurt Cobain and Mark Fisher suffered under the crushing weight of the past and past musical influences. The existential dread of a post-modernist feeling that there was no space left in which to create something new. Arguably that drove both of them to suicide. And yet, after they were gone, new musics appeared.

No Spoilers. Waiting in anticipation and a certain amount of dread for tonight's final episode of Tip Toe.

I wonder what Russel T. Davies thinks about the current plans to restrict social media use for under 16s.

If you're not watching Tip Toe, you must.

Brexit - UK

10 days till the National Rejoin March on Sat 20-Jun. A couple of weeks till Brexit Referendum 10 year Memorial Day on Tue 23-Jun.

I live right next to one of the highest Brexit voting districts in England. Trying to avoid the urge to ask them all "how's it going" on the local social forums.
