Will there be a sunset tonight or a sunrise tomorrow? At the moment I'm not entirely convinced. Still feels like a good night for practicing my religion down in the wood, though.

We've got huge numbers of small black hunting spiders in the garden. And also huge numbers of small black biting ants. There's no obvious evidence of conflicts, but I'm wondering if they compete for territory, resources and food.

The war between the six legged people and the eight legged people on Earth has been going on for a billion years at least.

There's plenty of room at the bottom. c. R. Feynman

- Nick, Nora and Jemaine

50ml Gin, 25ml Dry Vermouth, 10ml St Germain, lemon twist

One of my own inventions. I think we must have been watching Flight of the Concords or something.

MotoGP.com logged in on the desktop no problem. Trying to login on the phone both app and browser and it fails saying email or password are wrong.

We had this at the end of May and I had to go though and reset the password then. And I've used both in the last couple of weeks.

Gah! Looks like their auth servers are broken again.

There's a sweet spot here, 120-125 RWHP, 190kg wet. This is early 1990 Superbike territory before the halo bikes got silly and unusable.

There's a couple of designs missing though. At the moment, they tend to be Sports Naked or Supersports. What's missing is something in between. All the tech, all the top of range components but with a relaxed riding position and a large top fairing and screen. Either flat bars or high clip-ons.

A Gentleman's Express for the older Gentleman.

Moto2, WSS, BSS, Triumph.

With CFMoto having a 675-3 and now owning 51% of Kalex, what are the chances of a roadgoing Kalex Moto2 replica using a bored and stroked CFMoto triple? And a Triumph Daytona competitor.

With ZXMoto, QJMotor, Ducati V2s, joining it, the middleweight Supersports category is hotting up. This platform should work in RaceRep, Supersports, Entry level Sportbike, Gentlemen's express (top fairing), Sports Naked, Tall-rounder.

- French Pearl
50ml Gin, 10ml Absinthe, 20ml Lime juice, 10ml dbl Syrup, 6 mint leaves, muddle, shake, dbl strain, mint sprig

Nearly went for a Clover Club, but chose this enhanced Gimlet instead.

The recent rain and heat means the mint is flourishing.

Half in half Bristol Absinthe and La Fee.

Congrats to Andy Burnham.

There's an option here now Burnham is an MP. There's a Brown-Blair style dinner in an Italian restaurant. Both agree Burnham gets first dibs when Starmer resigns in his second term. Meanwhile Burnham joins the cabinet as Minister for the North, or something.

Any council by-election results yet?

- Beachcomber

40ml Light Rum (Bacardi), 10ml Wray&Neph, 15ml Cointreau, 15ml Maraschino, 15ml Lime

The first attempt at this was much too tart. This one's pretty good. More sweet bits, less lime.

Deluxe Daiquiri, right?

Sadly my local Coop no longer stocks my fav Kingston white rum. Hence the Wray for that Jamaican funk.
