Google Assistant Settings let's you define a default music player. Just not any of the music player apps installed on the phone. Like Blackplayer, Musicolet, VLC, Poweramp and so on.

As for the laptop, What the hell is it that is hearing "Hey Google Next Track" and passing it to the Windows Media controls and Winamp? A hidden Chrome setting?

Hey Google and music players. I feel sure I've been here before.

Hey Google Pause, Next Track, Previous Track all works fine with whatever player on Android is currently running. But with the same player paused, "Hey Google Play" does a search for "p"l. "Hey Google Play Music" wants to start a Youtube mix. "Hey Google Play Music On BlackPlayer Ex" generally doesn't work or does a search for BlackPlayer Ex.

And then. Winamp on the laptop started responding to all the commands as well. WTF?
