Anything under 28% ABV in a domestic freezer will turn to slush or the dilution water will turn to ice. So it doesn't really work to pre-make the full cocktail. The small amount of fridge cold Vermouth won't heat the main very cold, syrupy spirit too much. If you just freeze the gin bottle you'll have trouble getting the dilution and temp right.

I shouldn't be writing about #Cocktail on a Monday. But this story is worth sharing now. https://thespirits.substack.com/p/the-spirits-145-the-freezer-martini The Freezer Martini. Prepare a bottle of the main spirit, Gin or Vodka. 4 parts spirit to one of water. eg 540ml Gin, 140ml water. Put it in the freezer for at least 8 hours with a couple of glasses. Put the Dry Vermouth in the fridge. When you want a Martini. Take a frozen glass, add a garnish, pour in (5 to) 15ml Vermouth, add 75ml of frozen spirit. Swirl. Drink.

#Cocktail - Tiny Ten Umami 30ml Gin, 10ml Pressed Tomato juice[1], 5ml Dry Vermouth, 2 drops sesame oil, Shake, strain, cherry Tomato. Pressed Tomato juice; 3-4 cherry toms, crushed and strained Fun to make. A tiniest pinch of salt and perhaps one drop of tabasco. Need to concentrate that tomato flavour. A delicious little gin shot.

TFW all the little places where you played fast and loose with trespass and right to roam get blocked off. The old weir where you could jump the 1m gap across the river. The sewage pipe across the river that now has anti-trespass spikes. The short cut through the woods that is now blocked by 6ft stock fencing and barbed wire. The restricted byway that used occasionally to collect logs from your land that now has locked Kent gates. The scrub field now owned by travellers.
