The reports are every 2 weeks on data that is 2 weeks (or more old). You don't get a free vax unless you're over 75. Private vax if you can find it is £95. What if sentencing guidelines are generally too harsh. So too many non-violent crimes result in short (under 3 years) custodial sentences, requiring a right to jury trial. And so can't be tried in magistrates courts. For recommended < 6 month prison sentences, convert them to non-custodial. Transfer them to Magistrates courts. Beef up the probation and social services to handle them outside prison. | |
