Powa

An design study from Switzerland for a battery powered Urban Runabout. Piaggio is now working on similar machines.

BMW Special

This machine was built by a design student with BMW's blessing. It looks great but did not actually run. The biggest problem is the lack of leg room created by the wide engine.

The First BMW C1

This was a prototype or design study produced by BMW in the 80s. I've seen quite a few photos from different angles so it was physically built, but I'm not sure if it was full size. The idea was that the engine and rear wheel pod would stay upright and the body and front wheel would tilt. The engine appears to be some sort of boxer twin but with rather different engine cases to their motorcycles. Shame they never built it.
