A mailing list is now running
for the discussion of Feet Forwards motorcycles in all their shapes and forms. These
include the various "Mega-Scooters" such as the Honda Helix/CN250, Yamaha Majesty,
Piaggio Hexagon as well as FF motorcycles such as the Quasar, Ecomobile and various
specials.
You might also be interested

of motorcycle mailing lists maintained on the Micapeak web site. If you're riding
a Helix because you're "vertically challenged" you should especially look for the
"Short Bikers" list.

Netiquette
This list is not moderated but
posts are restricted to people who have subscribed. Please be sensible, the postmaster
reserves the right to chuck people off the list if they abuse the facility. This is
highly unlikely and would only be used in extreme situations.
I'd also be grateful if you
followed a few simple rules. These seem to be pretty common across the News groups
and mailing lists.
- This list is restricted so
you can only post to the list from the address you subscribed from.
- No binaries. Please don't
send binaries to the list. Put them on a web page or FTP site and post a pointer.
Some of us run on the end of a phone line that we pay for... This includes automatic
business cards, HTML copies of the text and MS Outlook automatic attachments.
- No HTML please, Keep it plain
text. It's then compatible with all mail readers and the archives and digest work
better.
- Ads are fine, but keep them
short and say where the item is located.
- Trim out quoted text so there
is enough information to follow the thread but not a blind copy of the original.
It's pretty irritating to get 10 pages with "me too" at the top. This especially
applies when replying to the digest. List subscribers do not want to see another
40Kb copy of all their posts.
- Don't quote signatures. If
you include "-- " (without the quotes) at the beginning of the first line of your
signature, sensible email readers will strip it out for you.
- Make your posts read from
top to bottom. I *hate* the MS practice of encouraging replies at the top of messages.
- Think about who you're sending
to. Do you really want to send your comments to everybody or just one person.
- To avoid spelling flames,
let's try for proper use of the apostrophe!
- That's all folks.
